BACIF 2019 – bacif2019.p.lodz.pl
The third edition of BACIF (2019) was held in September 2019, for the first time at a different location: the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences at Lodz University of Technology, with 60 participants from Poland, France, Italy, Cyprus, Greece, Finland, and China. With six plenary lectures, twelve oral presentations, and twenty-five posters, it was once again regarded as a great opportunity to meet and exchange knowledge on bioactive food compounds. Both organizers and participants looked forward to meeting again in 2021, but unfortunately, the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, followed by some organizational difficulties, broke the three-year cycle of BACIFs.

BACIF 2017 – bacif2017.p.lodz.pl
The second edition of BACIF (2017) was held in November 2017, at the same location, with 80 participants from Poland, France, Cyprus, Greece, Finland, Serbia, Slovenia and Ukraine. With five plenary lectures, sixteen oral presentations and fifty-nine posters, the conference was once again a great opportunity to present and see the scientific work in the field of food and its biologically important components.

BACIF 2015
The first BACIF (2015) conference was held in October 2015 with more than 80 participants from Poland, Cyprus, Greece, Finland, France, Algeria, Turkey, Iran and Brazil. The topics of four plenary lectures, twelve short oral presentations and 68 posters covered different aspects of biological activity of food: from allergenicity to antioxidant properties to safety issues. It was an opportunity to exchange knowledge and to see the complicity of aspects related to biological compounds present in food.
